To be fair, I’ve always had a buggy install with hassbian on my pi3. But today I wasted several hours trying to work out why my newly installed MQTT server wasn’t playing nice. After doing a fresh install of hassbaian (which has helped with some other issues), I finally read the code I was copying badly from Bruh’s actually very clear and awesome tutorial.
Bustead, I clearly didn’t read properly! I was trying to post to a subscription. *headthunk*. One measly letter change later, and everything is working beautifully. I’m just waiting for my LED strips to arrive.
