Are you ready for some Universal play? I am of course referring to Universal Studios!. If theme parks aren’t your thing, check out my first post about the island where I explore other alternatives that Sentosa has to offer.
Tip 1 Maximise your Play
Buy. The. Express. Pass. Yes it’s ridiculously expensive, especially if you are in a family, but if you want to maximise your Universal play time it is the best option. Without the express pass you will waste a substantial amount of time waiting in the queue and lose out on rides. It’s also cheaper if you find a deal online before going. I don’t regret the decision to spend big on the pass it made our overall experience much more enjoyable.
Tip 2 Take Food
Take your own food. There are lockers everywhere that are free (as long as you have the express pass that lets you get back in time before the free period runs out). And the queues for food are also ridiculously long. But the Jurassic Park themed food hall is amazing.
Tip 3
Cylons win
The best roller coaster (for adults) is the Cylon one. It’s also got the longest queue. Yes, there is a recurring theme here! If with the queue jump pass you can expect to wait 30mins. Closely followed by the Mummy coaster, but as that one plays with sensory deprivation / dark, its not for everyone.
And finally after your ‘Universal play’, don’t forget all the other opportunities that are available on the island! After getting kicked out of the park, we grabbed some snacks and a prime seat for the Crane Dance. There is no place like Singapore for lighting and water shows and you can check out a play list of all the ones I found at my youtube channel. It was a lovely way to end a busy day.
