Ethernet vs Wifi

I’ve been trying to work out how to control an LED strip via ethernet or arduino. It turns out it’s way cheaper and easier to just get a esp8266 wifi chip, and do it wireless. Boo! I wanted the reliability of ethernet.

So on the weekend, I’m off to Altrsonics to get a chip for myself, and then I’ll try to control an LED using MQTT and Hassbian.
