This was actually way easier then some of my other projects. I followed this simple tutorial here. Initially I tried to upload Firmata to the Arduino through the terminal command line, but honestly its too painful and its easier to just plug it into the USB of your laptop and use the Arduino IDE to flash.
Next step, LED light strips!
