Things that I want to automate in the bus using home assistant, Arduino, and raspberry pi. I’m sure I’ll be adding to this list!
SCAN AND ALERT
- Fresh Water
- Grey Water
- Black Water
- Battery Level
- Solar panel input
- Temperature
LIGHTS (after sunset)
- Turn on lights when motion detected
- Turn off lights after 2 minutes of no motion
- Turn on spotlight when door opened
- Dim lights during media play
- If motion detected after gone to bed, bring lights on but only blue to half strength to the toilet or fridge
- PARTAY Lights
- Reduce all lights when battery gets low
- 2 reading lights using switches
HOT WATER
- If people home, turn on hot water between 5-6 and alert for shower time
DISPLAY
- When friends and I come into the bus, have BusBus say hello
- Display time
- Touch display controls for HA
- Play media through TV at back tv
- Warn intruders that they are being recorded, and alerts have been sent
LOCATION
- Continuously Mark bus location on Map
- If bus is moving without my phone alert phone immediately
- When driving turn off all sensor and lights, turn on a dim light for passenger
- Google maps directions
- When driving play podcasts through media centre
CAMERAS
- When driving turn on a dash cam
- When reversing turn on and display a rear camera
- When friends and I are not in the bus, turn on the internal and external security camera if motion detected
- When podcasting turn on the interview camera and microphone
- Once per day the TwitterBot takes a photo and uploads it to the feed
TWITTERBOT:
- Once per day take a photo and post it
- Once per day find a post about a skoolie and post it
- Make a comment about what is happening to it through Home Assistant e.g. “Turning the kettle, what am I? a kitchen Maid! ”
